StoryBridge Nepal Cancellation & Refund Policy

72-Hour Grace Period

A participant may request cancellation within 72 hours of making the initial program payment.

During this period, StoryBridge Nepal will refund program fees paid, less any non-refundable payment-processing charges or costs already incurred specifically on the participant’s behalf.

After the 72-hour grace period, the $500 deposit becomes non-refundable because StoryBridge Nepal may begin making commitments to accommodations, transportation, guides, program partners, and other providers.

Remaining Program Balance

The remaining $950 balance is due October 18, 2026.

Participants registering on or after October 18, 2026 will be required to pay the full remaining program fee at the time of registration.

Participant Cancellation Before October 18, 2026

If a participant cancels before October 18, 2026, payments made above the $500 deposit may be refunded, less any non-refundable third-party expenses or payment-processing costs already incurred on the participant’s behalf.

Participant Cancellation Beginning October 18, 2026

Beginning October 18, 2026, program payments are generally non-refundable because StoryBridge Nepal will be making final commitments and payments for accommodations, transportation, local partners, activities, and other program expenses.

If StoryBridge Nepal is able to recover funds from a third-party provider following a participant cancellation, StoryBridge may return those recoverable amounts to the participant.

Changes to the Journey

International travel requires flexibility. StoryBridge Nepal may adjust accommodations, transportation, activities, service-learning opportunities, routes, or scheduling when necessary because of weather, road conditions, local circumstances, safety considerations, partner availability, government guidance, or other conditions beyond StoryBridge Nepal’s reasonable control.

Reasonable itinerary changes do not constitute cancellation of the program and are not grounds for a refund.

If StoryBridge Nepal Cancels the Journey

If StoryBridge Nepal cancels the entire journey before departure, StoryBridge will make every reasonable effort to return program fees that have not already been committed to or retained by non-refundable third-party providers.

StoryBridge Nepal is not responsible for expenses purchased independently by participants, including international airfare, visas, insurance, personal travel arrangements, or other individual expenses.

Travel Insurance

All participants are required to carry travel medical insurance that includes emergency evacuation coverage.

StoryBridge Nepal also strongly recommends purchasing comprehensive trip cancellation and trip interruption insurance that covers airfare and other non-refundable travel expenses.

Voluntary Departure

Participants who voluntarily leave the program after it begins are responsible for any additional transportation, lodging, or other expenses they incur.

Unused portions of the StoryBridge Nepal program are not refundable.
